Privacy policy

Effective and last updated: October 11, 2026

Your circle. Your information. This policy explains what BRUH — Brothers Reaching Us Higher collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you.

1. Information we collect

Account and profile: your email address, account identifier, authentication information, name, age, phone number and any profile photo you provide. Email and password sign-in is handled by our authentication service; signing in with Google uses the account information Google provides.

Trusted circle: names, relationships, phone numbers and email addresses of the contacts you enter. Only add people whose information you have permission to use. BRUH does not automatically import your phone address book.

Check-ins and alerts: your selected state, optional notes, alert type, message, contact count and timestamps. These records may reveal sensitive information about your wellbeing. You choose whether to use these features and what to write.

Providers and resources: your name, occupation or business, email, phone, service description, and program or event information you submit. Account-deletion requests store the email address and optional reason you provide.

Technical information: hosting and error-reporting services may process network information such as IP addresses, browser or device information, page paths, error messages and diagnostic logs to operate and troubleshoot the service.

2. How information is used

We use information to create and secure accounts, save profiles and trusted contacts, record check-ins and alerts, display community resources, review provider submissions, handle deletion requests and troubleshoot BRUH. Avoid including information you do not want stored in optional notes or messages.

3. Access and sharing

Your saved profile, trusted contacts, check-ins and alert history are protected by account-based access controls. Authorized service operators and hosting, authentication, storage and diagnostic service providers may process information as needed to operate BRUH. Provider information submitted for publication may appear in community listings; public inquiry submissions are available to authorized reviewers.

Contact messages are user-initiated: BRUH opens your SMS or email app with a prepared message, and you choose whether to send it. BRUH does not automatically deliver messages or guarantee receipt. The recipient and your messaging, email or mobile service then handle the message under their own privacy practices. Saved alert history is not a shared inbox for trusted contacts.

Information may also need to be disclosed when required by law or to address security incidents. Do not put private account information in a public provider description.

4. Location and device storage

BRUH does not currently request GPS location or share live location with your circle. Network or browser information processed by hosting services may indicate a general region; this is different from GPS tracking.

BRUH uses browser or app storage to maintain your sign-in session. Google sign-in and external resources may use their own storage and privacy policies. Your photo is uploaded only when you select a file.

5. Security and retention

BRUH uses HTTPS for connections to its hosted service and account-based controls for private records. No system can guarantee complete security. SMS and email you send outside BRUH are subject to the protections of those services; HTTPS does not make an SMS end-to-end encrypted.

Account records remain until removed through the applicable account controls or deletion process. Public provider inquiries, deletion requests, diagnostic logs and infrastructure backups are separate from the automatic account-deletion routine. They are not guaranteed to disappear immediately when an account is deleted. BRUH has not published a fixed retention period for those records.

6. Your choices and account deletion

You can edit your profile and manage your trusted circle in the app. You can choose not to add optional details, upload a photo, save a check-in or send a message. Information already sent through SMS or email cannot be recalled or deleted from recipients’ devices by BRUH.

Signed-in users can request permanent deletion from Profile → Delete account. The automatic process removes the login, profile, stored profile photos, trusted contacts, check-ins, alerts, submitted account-linked listings and account roles. Deletion cannot be undone. Separately submitted public provider inquiries and diagnostic records are not covered by that automatic process.

If you cannot sign in, use the public account-deletion request form. It collects your account email and an optional reason for review; submitting it does not itself delete an account. Ownership must be verified before someone’s account is removed. The request page currently states a 30-day processing period.

7. Wellbeing and children

BRUH is designed to connect men with support and community resources. It is not an emergency-response service, medical provider or substitute for professional care, and alerts are not monitored for emergencies. In the United States, call 911 for immediate danger or call or text 988 for crisis support. Elsewhere, use your local emergency number.

BRUH is intended for adults and is not designed for children under 13. If an account contains a child’s information, request its removal through the account-deletion process.

8. Policy updates and requests

This policy applies to the BRUH app and website operated under the BRUH — Brothers Reaching Us Higher name. We will update this page and its date when the described practices change. Account and associated-data deletion requests can be submitted using the linked public form.
